I started my career in the care industry 24 years ago, as a support worker in a residential home for older people, this is where I found my passion for care, from that point on I wanted to learn as much as I could. I learnt on the job not only older persons care but learning disability and mental health care and support.
This journey took me through various qualifications including my training qualifications and my degree. As part of my Journey, I was fortunate enough to work with the social work teams, various residential settings, day services and supported living community based. My various job led me to management and then directorship.
One of the proudest moments of my career was opening the doors to Sunshine Care with my Sister because not only the family values that we share but to be able to deliver the high standard of care in the way that we believe that care should be delivered is something that we have both aspired to do through out our life.
